Registered Nurses Association of Ontario
RNAO

Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) is the non-profit, professional association representing registered nurses in Ontario. RNAO decided to purchase a century-old building in order to consolidate their previous two facilities.

This project was to retrofit and repair an existing post and beam commercial office complex. The scope of work included two floors of tenant improvement as well as asbestos abatement, new foundation for interconnecting staircase, new interconnecting staircase, new barrier free elevator, and four new washrooms.

A great deal of attention was given to creating barrier-free access and overhauling the outdated mechanical systems, while restored wooden beams and oversized windows were maintained in reference to the building’s history.
